I am a fan of textures and that's why I love to paint. These photos were taken while in Louisiana on one of my day trip photo adventures. I will jump in my truck and drive without a plan looking for something to catch my eye. I found several recently dug up gas tanks when I first started being creative with a camera back in the 80's. The sides were all rusted, scratched, oily with lots of dirt attached. They were beautiful. That experience prepared me for what I found driving by these fresh cut timbers. It was on a Sunday and no one was around to make me feel awkward or crowded. I was very happy capturing these images. I will be offering some of them as prints in my store. |
